Shannon Sargent is a Victoria, British Columbia-based singer-songwriter whose music blends contemporary folk, roots rock, and Americana with evocative storytelling and soulful, expressive vocals. Inspired by lived experience, hard-won resilience, and the beautifully imperfect journey of being human, her songs pair earthy melodies with lyrical depth. Her voice carries the soulful grit and lived-in warmth reminiscent of Lucinda Williams, while her songwriting reflects the emotional honesty of Kathleen Edwards, the fearless spirit of Neko Case, and the storytelling depth of The Tragically Hip.
